Life Enrichment DirectorIndependence Village of GreenwoodFull TimeThe Life Enrichment Director ensures that each single resident we serve has something to look forward to every day. The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for creating experiences that bring our core values, Laughter, Exploration, Connection & Movement, to life. The Life Enrichment Director immerses themselves in every residents story so that we can help guide each resident to their purpose.Requirements:A bachelors degree in event management, hospitality, gerontology or equivalent experienceEvent planning experience (regardless of field of work)Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writingMinimum of three years related experience and/or training preferred.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evening, weekends, and holiday hours.Strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, Facebook and other social media platforms and ability to master other custom applicationsAbility to deliver a 1440 experience by making residents feel safe, like they belong and ensuring they have something to look forward to.Responsibilities:LaughInspire residents, families and peers to get excited about upcoming experiencesCreate an energy of excitement throughout your communityExplorePlan, create and execute a monthly calendar that infuses all core values and meets all necessary experience standardsWork closely with sales and business development to plan & promote prospect experiences at the communityEnsure that all experience are executed with a high level of resident safetyManage department monthly budgetConnectEnsure that each resident has something to look forward to every dayCreate experiences based on resident feedback, team collaboration and person insightsLeadership and overall accountability for the Life Enrichment team and their performanceMoveManage multiple different projects in an effective mannerActively seek feedback on ways to improve the resident experienceEnsure aesthetics of all life enrichment community areas are inviting, safe and appropriate for residents and familiesSubmit all required monthly reporting on timeConnecting Seniors, Families and CommunitiesFor over 37 years, our senior living communities have served seniors and their families across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Tennessee, with each location offering unique services including independent, enhanced, and assisted living, as well as memory care and rehabilitation and skilled nursing.
