The Director, Sales & Strategy is responsible for leading Oak Street Funding's and First Franchise Capital's (FCF) national sales and strategy. The Director will lead the sales and strategy/partnership teams. This role will obtain a deep customer, competitive and market understanding to provide strategic recommendations to management while ensuring the sales organization is well trained to better compete in the marketplace. This role will maximize portfolio growth while enhancing our brands in the marketplace through the development of strategies and initiatives that drive lead flow and partnership referrals while prudently driving down loan acquisition costs. This role will report to the President of FCF.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities


  • Lead FCF growth initiatives, ensuring proactive management of employee performance and development.
  • Oversee business growth across all customer segments while also improving the customer experience.
  • Oversee the monitoring of performance dashboards, competitor's products and services to develop insights that can help executive management make more informed business decisions.
  • Evaluate new products, services and new verticals and provide recommendations to executive management on whether to pursue opportunities.
  • Liaise with FFB on any opportunities that might not fit OSF business model but could fit FFB's.
  • Lead annual strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with FFB processes.
  • Direct, plan and manage strategic projects to secure resources and ensure on-time project completion. Identify project risks and issues, drive resolution, escalating as appropriate.
  • Oversee the development of an ongoing Sales training program for new and existing salespeople.
  • Direct staffing, training, performance evaluations and development for team.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as may be required to achieve the needed financial business results.

    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job

    • 10+ years in a strategic, business development or management consulting role.
    • Intellectually curious, analytical, logical thinker with a drive for results and confidence to develop a point of view and provide recommendations to management.
    • Creative problem solver with experience in creating business cases and business analysis.
    • Strong communication and listening skills, clear storytelling ability, and the ability to persuade, influence and train others.
    • Leadership skills to provide direction, feedback and development to team.
    • Effective internal and external communicator.
    • Bachelor's degree in business related function.

      Preferred Knowledge and Skills

      • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
      • Project management skills.
      • Continuous improvement methodologies and procedures.

        • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.

          Degree of Independence and Decision-Making

          • Works with limited supervision.

              Physical Requirements

              • Remain in a stationary position (stand or sit) for majority of the day.

              • Communicate clearly, including oral and written correspondence, in order to exchange information with internal and/or external partners/clients.
