Job Description:

Job Summary: Installation and maintenance of security systems, including intrusion alarm systems, access control, CCTV, intercom, and fire alarm systems.

As a security systems technician, you will be responsible for performing installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting activities on various security systems. Your tasks will include:

• 
  
• Installing and verifying security equipment for small and large installations
  
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
  
• Completing "As Built" drawings and reports for customers
  
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of various product lines
  
• Consulting with clients to assess risk and determine security requirements
  
• Participating in a rotation on-call schedule
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Working knowledge of equipment application, compatibility, mounting techniques, programming, and testing
    
  • Ohio fire alarm license within 120 days and maintenance of the license
    
  • Electronic Technician program or equivalent experience
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent
    
  • Valid driver's license and passing driving background check
    
    
    Preferred qualifications:
    
    
    • 
      
    • IT standards and network topology experience
      
    • Experience with analog, hybrid, and IP CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, wireless, intrusion systems, and fire alarm systems
      
    • Working knowledge of local and national codes for inspection and test purposes
      
    • Ability to program basic operations on micro-processor based systems
      
    • Proficient in MS operating systems and computer network experience
      
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electronic test equipment
      
    • Good communication skills and solid understanding of communication protocol
